Apple Custard Pie

Apple Custard Pie


1 cup grated sweet apples
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 tablespoon melted butter
½ teaspoon lemon rind
½ teaspoon lemon juice 


1.                  Preheat oven to 400°.
2.                  Line a pie plate with pastry.  Put a strip of pastry round the edge.  Bake for a little while approximately 15 – 20 minutes.
3.                  Mix apples, sugar, well beaten eggs, butter and lemon.   Stir together.
4.                  Add milk and blend together.
5.                  Turn into a pie plate lined with pastry.
6.                  Bake 30 minutes.
