 OATMEAL AND RAISIN SUGAR COOKIES















Oatmeal And Raisin Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

½ cup butter
½ cup vegetable shortening
1 cups sugar
1 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon nutmeg
2 ¼ cups flour
1 teaspoon orange rind
1 cup Oats
¾ cup Raisins

Optional:  Sprinkles

Method

1.                  Preheat oven to 350°.
2.                  Prepare and grease cookie sheets.
3.                  Sift flour, baking soda, and nutmeg together; set aside.
4.                  Cream butter and sugar.
5.                  Add eggs and vanilla.
6.                  Add orange rind.
7.                  Add dry ingredients.
8.                  Fold in raisins.
9.                  Divide dough in half and form into ball.  Roll out to about ¼ inch thick and cut out with desired cookie cutter.  Sprinkle with desired sprinkles.
10.              Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until done and nicely brown.
11.              Remove immediately from baking sheet onto a wire rack.
12.              Cool completely and serve accordingly.  Store in an air tight container.

Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

Plain Pancakes And Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups flour,
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup melted butter or oil
1 egg
1/2 to 1 cup of milk.

Chocolate Chips optional.

Method

1.  Sift flour, sugar, salt, baking powder together.  
2.  Add butter, egg and milk.  
3.  Blend together. 
4.  Preheat griddler pan or frying pan with butter or oil.  Spoon batter by 1/4 cup onto griddler until golden brown on each side.

Snack Cake With Pink Icing

HAPPY NEW YEAR 

























Snack Cake With Pink Icing

Ingredients

⅔ cup Crisco shortening
1½ cups sugar
⅔ cup milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon lemon extract
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon double active baking powder
3 eggs

Icing: 

1 cup confectioner sugar
¼ teaspoon almond extract
1 – 2 tablespoons water
Optional:  Food Colouring - Sprinkles


Method
1.                  Prepare 11x7x2 baking pan by greasing and flouring.
2.                  Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
3.                  Add milk and extracts; blend.
4.                  Stir in dry ingredients, to creamed mixture.  Beat until smooth.
5.                  Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
6.                  Beat entire mixture well before pouring into greased and floured baking pan.
7.                  Bake at 300° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
8.                  Frost or Ice as desired.
9.                  Serve accordingly.
