SPICE MUFFINS

Spice Muffins

Ingredients

1 cup flour

Pinch salt

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon cloves

1/4 cup sugar

3/4 cups milk

3 tablespoons melted or soft butter

1 beaten egg

Optional:  Sprinkle top with Cinnamon and sugar mixture prior to baking. (1 tablespoon sugar and 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon)

Method

One bowl method.

In a medium size bowl combine  and sift all dry ingredients together.   Make well in center of bowl and add all remaining ingredients.  Fold in and mix well together.  Spoon in greased muffin pans.  Place in preheated oven of 350° and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown and cake tester is inserted and taken out as clean.  Remove from oven and place on cooling rack for a few minutes.  Serve warm with butter.

FRENCH TOAST BREAKFAST

French Toast made with a Crow Lane Bakery's Whole Wheat Bun cut or sliced to make slices.  1 egg beaten; two tablespoons milk; vanilla, cinnamon, and butter.  Butter frying pan, dip sliced bread into egg mixture and place in hot frying pan.  Cook on both sides accordingly.  Serve to your liking.
