Sour Cream Cake

SOUR CREAM CAKE








Sour Cream Cake
Ingredients

½ cup butter
1 ½ cup sugar
1 ½ cup flour
½ cup sour cream
3 eggs
⅛ teaspoon baking powder
1 ¼ teaspoon vanilla (Optional Lemon Peel and Juice)
⅛ teaspoon salt

Method
1.     Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2.     Grease and flour a 8 x 2 inch pan.
3.     Sift all dry ingredients together.  Set aside.
4.     Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
5.     Add eggs one at a time.
6.     Sparingly add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream.
7.     Pour into prepared pan.
8.     Bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean.
9.     Cool on baking cooling rack in pan for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
10.  Remove from pan and cool.
11.  Optional Icing or frost to liking.
