Sugar Cookies


Ingredients


½ cup sugar
½ cup butter
1 egg
1½ cups flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon salt



Method



1.                  Heat oven to 375°.


2.                  Cream butter and sugar – add egg.  Mix well.


3.                  Add flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt.


4.                  Roll into marbles.  Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.  Press flat with the sugared bottom of a glass.


5.                  Bake for 10 minutes.

Pineapple Upside Down Cake

PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE






Pineapple Upside Down Cake 

Ingredients

Duncan Hines Cake Mix
Dole Pineapple Rings
Libby's Cherry Fruit Mix

Method 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a 6-8 inch baking pan.
Arrange pineapple in baking dish along with Cherry Fruit Mix.
Make a brown sugar syrup with 2 tablespoons brown sugar, juice of pineapple rings and a little butter. Pour over pineapple rings and cherry fruit mix.
Follow instruction on package of Duncan Hines Cake Mix.  Pour cake mixture over pineapple mixture.
Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until fully baked.
Serve slightly warm.

Apple Upside Down Cake

 APPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE













Apple Upside Down Cake

Ingredients

¼ cup + 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
½ cup sugar
1 small egg
½ teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon lemon
1 cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1½ teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoon milk

2 Apples (peel and slice) +  sugar and cinnamon + little butter


Method

1.          Preheat oven to 350°.
2.          Grease and lightly flour 6 - 8 inch baking pan.  Arrange sliced apples and sprinkle with sugar mixture.  Dot with a little butter.
3.          Cream butter and sugar together.
4.          Add egg and flavorings
5.          Blend in dry ingredients alternately with milk.
6.          Pour batter on top of apple mixtures.
7.          Bake for 20 – 30 minutes or until golden brown.
8.          Optional: Icing, Frost and Sprinkle.

Orange Doughnuts

ORANGE DOUGHNUTS





Orange Doughnuts 

Ingredients

1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3 tablespoons sugar
1 egg (beaten)
3 tablespoons melted butter
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon orange rind
1 tablespoon orange juice

1 Pint (16 oz) Vegetable Oil (for frying)

Sugar and Cinnamon (optional)


Method

Combine all ingredients together.  Blend well.  Knead and roll out 1/4 inch thick with doughnut cutter.    Heat oil.  Add doughnuts and fry.  Spoon out and place on paper towel.  Sprinkle and coat with sugar.  Serve warm.

Optional, if you like to use less sugar and butter you can it doesn't change the recipe.  Oil preference too instead of butter

Optional, you can use 3/4 cup flour and 1/4 cup cornmeal which was used in these pictures here.

Ingredients

Water Melon 
Honey Dew
Cantaloupe
Grapes
Mandarines
Pineapple 

Method

Peel and cut all ingredients into desired shapes.  Toss all together and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour
⅛ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 egg (beaten)
1⅛ teaspoon Fleishmann’s RapidRise Instant Yeast (1/8 oz)
¼ cup warm water
2 tablespoons warm water
2 tablespoons warm milk

Method

1.          Blend flour, sugar, and salt together.
2.          Add butter to dry ingredients; cut the butter into the flour mixture.
3.          Warm water for yeast, then add yeast and cover to rise for approximately 5 minutes.
4.          Warm milk.
5.          Warm water.
6.          Add all liquids and egg (optional) to the dry ingredients, until it all blends together.
7.          Take out of the bowl, place on a floured board and knead for approximately 10 minutes. (If dough appears to be wet continue kneading adding flour as you go to desired consistency)
8.          Cover and leave it to rise for approximately 1 hour.
9.          When risen punch down and loaf out into desired shapes and pans.
10.       Cover and leave to rise again for approximately 1 hour.
11.       Bake in a 400° and until golden brown; tap top for hollow sound to ensure bread is baked completely.
12.       Remove from oven and place on cooling rack to cool, brush with butter on top of buns.
13.       Remove from pans and cool completing before bagging.
