Boston Cookies
Ingredients
4 tablespoons butter
½ cup sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 cup flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
Few grains of salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup chopped nuts
½ cup raisins
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 350° and butter some cookie sheets.
2. Cream the butter, then gradually add the sugar, mixing well.
3. Beat in the egg.
4. Mix together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon and add to the first mixture, blending thoroughly.
5. Add the nuts and raisins and mix well.
6. Arrange by spoonfuls, 1 inch apart, on cookie sheets and bake about 10 – 12 minutes or until delicately brown.
